How much time is required to practice at home?
Consistent practice is essential to developing piano skills. Progress can be measured by a student's commitment to practice - even 15 minutes everyday of 'smart-practice' will make a difference. Lessons will include tips on how to practice efficiently and maximize a student's time.
What other materials are students required to have for lessons?
A borrowed-materials fee of $25 is charged to each student-family per semester for learning tools and supplementary music. Students typically purchase one primary sheet music book each year and provide a spiral notebook to write down assignments and 'tips', as well as a 3-ring binder for additional handouts.
Are parents/guardians required to attend youth lessons?
Students under the age of 13 are required to attend lessons with a a parent or guardian. Occasionally, exceptions are permitted with advanced notice.
